In 2018, Matt Finley joined the Perspective 6 Group as a Partner & Financial Advisor to continue his pursuit of financial planning and asset management while collaborating with a highly successful team. Matt takes a scientific approach to financial services. As a former research microbiologist, with several patents to his name, Matt’s approach to financial services is one of extensive research and due diligence when planning and selecting investments for clients. Matt entered the financial services field during the Great Recession which has strongly influenced Matt’s investment philosophy of creating proper risk-managed portfolios based on the client's desired goals in combination with the pitfalls that can occur over a lifetime of savings and income needs.
In 2009, Matt began his financial career with a large broker-dealer in Minneapolis, M.N., where he learned the breadth of the financial markets and financial planning principles through an extensive training and research curriculum. Prior to entering his financial career, Matt was a research microbiologist working on the anti-microbial properties of chemicals in the health and food safety industries. During this time, Matt worked on numerous well-known products in the marketplace and has four patents to his name. After his science career, Matt moved into the sales and finance field working for one of the largest credit processing companies in the country, while developing numerous business relationships in the Midwest region. In 2013, Matt moved to the independent financial advisor model to better serve his clients as a fiduciary and pursue his desire to become an expert in financial planning and asset management.
